Creating Your Own Fountain Conversion

The following 5 steps will assist you in designing your own unique water feature:
• The Pot
The first step is to choose a pot. Any style, shape, size or color will work depending on your needs. There are terracotta pots, concrete urns, carved stone basins - the list goes on and on. The possibilities are endless - it's up to your imagination!
• Conversion Service
Next we offer a pot conversion service that takes approximately 5-7 business days for completion. You may choose either PVC or copper pipe, and there are various sealers as well. The pipe may be cut to either show above the pot or be hidden below the water's surface.
• Pump Housing
The pot will need to be placed atop a housing unit where the pump may be submersed. Three are various options for the pump house depending on which type of liner, basin, or pond is chosen. Most often the pump house will a comparable diameter to the base of the pot, and be as tall as the pond it is to be placed into so the pot looks as if it is level with the surface of water or rocks when applicable.
• Basin
There are several possibilities for the catch basin depending on the location, including our pre-formed ground liners, concrete ponds or another pot may also be used. We also offer one of a kind surrounds, such as one made of French limestone. Check for availability.
• Pump
Finally a pump must be chosen. There are numerous sizes available and most have flow control valves for adjusting water pressure. For a fountain with gentle water flow, choose a smaller pump with minimal gallons per hour. On the opposite end, for a jet like effect that breaks the waterís surface, choose a more powerful pump.
