Terre Colorate

One of Terrecotte San Rocco's Itorrini lines, Terre Colorate, is a fulfillment of imagination, design and infusing color into Galestro clay. Inspired by the landscape surrounding Siena, Italy the changes of color and daylight with the seasons inspired these new hues to compliment the classic terracotta color of Italian clay.

Available in five different clay colors: "Terracotta", the color of Siena bricks, "Etrusca", the dark brown of the winter landscape, "Muschio", the green shades of the late winter hills, "Vinaccia", in reference to the violet indigenous vineyards, and "Biancana", the milk-white color of the clay hills from which the clay itself is actually excavated.

While these new infused colors of clay can be special ordered in any Terrecotte San Rocco item, the new Terre Colorate line was created around very contemporary lines in large scale forms to highlight the color. Often we have found these "contemporary" forms work stunningly well in a variety of design situations and opportunities.

All of the pottery in the Terre Colorate line is frost resistant to -15 degrees F and come with a 10-year guarantee against any manufacturer defect, with the exception of the terracotta Biancana, a new naturally white-bodied clay. Custom coloring is also available through our Service Department. Pricing of custom coloring done at Eye of the Day is based on a number of factors including material, finish, and application process.
