Francesco Del Re Terracotta

Francesco Del Re terracotta is hand-crafted according to traditional techniques in the hills of Chianti, near Florence.  Our favorite handmade terracotta, it is simply the best of the best.  This terracotta pottery is created from Galestro clay, which is difficult to work with, but results in pottery which is durable as well as beautiful.  The terracotta is slow-fired at high temperatures, a process which confers unequalled strength and characteristic color gradations to the finished product.  It has excellent resistance to ice, sun, salts, or acids dissolved in water.  This product is backed with a 20-year guarantee.  It is not uncommon for pieces such as these to last 200 years or more.
